Technology:
What’s the difference between gas, electric radiant and induction stoves?
______________________
Gas Cooktops
Pros:
•Works with any cookware
•The open flame provides a visual cue for heat monitoring
•Fine heat control levels
Cons:
•The most difficult to clean due to food debris/grease trap in crevices around the burners.
•High residual heat
•Open flame can be a safety hazard
•Least energy efficient (only 50% of the energy goes into heating the cookware/food; the other 50% heats up the kitchen/house)
•Higher energy bills
•Slow to adjust temperature
•Longer cooking time
•Micro hazardous gas leakage

Electric Radiant Cooktops
Pros:
•Slightly more efficient than gas (70% efficient)
•Works with any cookware
•No open flame
•No micro hazardous gas leakage
Cons:
•Very slow to heat up and cool down
•Worst responsive heat control
•High residual heat after cooking
• Can be difficult to clean; the high residual heat can cause grease/debris to be trapped on the stove surface
•Least even heating
•Very few heat level control

Induction Cooktops
Pros:
•The most energy-efficient (up to 90%)
•Fastest, most even, and most precise temperature control
•Quick to heat up and cool down
•No high residual heat, safer for kids and pets
•No open flame, safer for kids and pets
•No micro hazardous gas leakage, safer for lungs
•Most straightforward heat/temperature monitoring (only with Vision Infinity)
•The finest heat control levels (only with Vision Infinity)
•Easy to clean due to the cool flat surface throughout the cooking
Cons:
•Works only with ferromagnetic cookware (e.g., stainless steel, cast iron, carbon steel, Enameled cast iron)

Why do I need temperature adjustments to be precise to 1 °F?
The temperature responsiveness varies significantly among different brands and models of cookware.
Having more precise degree-level adjustments allows you to fine-tune, calibrate, and customize your cooking to your unique situation.
For example, here at the Kitchen Automatique Culinary Center, we have brands of cookware like Demeyere, All-Clad, Le Creuset, Made In, HexClad, and more. They all respond to heat differently. Most of the time, there's only a few degrees difference, but that difference can make or break a dish.
When simmering white rice, for instance, the Demeyere 7-ply pot requires 203°F (95°C) to maintain a simmer. On the other hand, the HexClad pot needs to be at 198°F (92°C) to maintain a simmer; setting it at 203°F (95°C) would easily dry out the rice.
Product usage:
How often does the filter need to be replaced?
The grease filter requires cleaning every 1-4 days. The charcoal filter and the HEPA filter usually need replacement after 3-6 months of use. They will be available on our website first and subsequently on Amazon.com.
What’s the counter space requirement for the Vision Infinity?
The countertop space required is:
16.9in (430mm) x 12.5in (320mm) x 26.3in (660mm) when used with the display on the docking.
16.9in (430mm) x 12.5in (320mm) x 22.4in (571mm) when used with the display off the docking.
A flat surface is required for the weight sensor to work properly.
Where can I use the Vision Infinity?
Currently, it is limited to indoor residential kitchen environments. Outdoor environments and commercial kitchens require further testing and certification, to be announced.
I’ve never used exact temperatures on stovetops before? Will it be difficult?
Although it feels very different from the low, medium, high heat adjustments ( or 1-10 level) on gas/electric radiant stovetops, the learning curve should be less than 1-2 weeks since we have digital guides with all the temperature settings for different ingredients and cooking styles readily available on the display.
Is Vision Infinity safe to use around kids and pets?
The Vision Infinity Cooktop is the safest option for parents and pet owners. Its power button and Digital User Interface are positioned out of reach for small children and cannot be accidentally activated by pets.
Is Vision Infinity safe for kids to operate?
Yes, we believe children aged 12 and older can safely and successfully operate this appliance. Parental discretion is advised.

What cookware is compatible with this?
